The S55 OE turbos are quite potent and have great reliability, as long as they are not tuned aggressively. Once tuned the standard thrust bearings tend to wear out at exponential rates, at which point you replace the turbos only to quickly wear them out all over again if you do not remove the aftermarket tuning. Our RB S55 OEM replacements cure those woes by utilizing larger than TD04 sized internals for much better bearing reliability within the OEM TD04 center sections, while retaining excellent build/balance quality that is rivaled by no other leveraging our state of the art low and high speed balancing equipment and fierce attention to detail. These S55 RB Twos (with included Inlet package) are built to the same caliber of perfection but are for those looking for a substantial performance upgrade over that of the OE Turbos (ie. up to 150whp gains).
